A journey across Sicily with Jack Harding & Serengeti Eyewear

Sicily. An island which boasts seven UNESCO World Heritage locations, beautiful coastlines and endless sunshine. The perfect place for a campaign chasing the light with Serengeti Eyewear.

In spring 2022 we set off on a journey to find some of the most unique locations on the island. Fortunately, I had spent a lot of time in Sicily over the past few years and had many great ideas in mind. Here are a few places we shot during the project:

- Cefalù: A small coastal village on the north coast anchored between salty water and craggy rocks.
- Cretto di Burri: A landscape artwork undertaken by Alberto Burri in 1984 and left unfinished in 1989, based on the old city of Gibellina which was ruined by an earthquake.
- Modica: Potentially my favourite city in Europe. Its magical charm and small streets are so unique. Best known for its Baroque buildings and chocolate.
- Scala dei Turchi: Stunning white cliffs, known from the Italian film Malèna.

One of my favourite things about exploring this beautiful island is the variety of locations within a few hours of each other. You could be shooting a magical city in the morning and experience the most stunning sunset on the coast with a Negroni. Only a three-hour drive from east to west makes travel quite easy.

OK, I think I’ve sold Sicily to you. Now let’s talk about the one thing which you pack first when heading off into the sunshine… sunglasses.

During this shoot, we were capturing content for a campaign with Serengeti Eyewear. Serengeti stands out as a leader in the sunglass industry, boasting a unique combination of three defining technologies in every lens. With their commitment to innovation at the forefront, they have integrated adjustable Photochromic lenses, Spectral Control® for natural colour enhancement and blue-light blocking, and glare-reducing Polarization into each and every lens. No other brand can claim to offer such a superior blend of technology, making every Serengeti lens truly unparalleled, and of course my go to sunglasses.

Now for some photography and video from the shoot. All shots were edited with JH04/ 05 from my Adobe Lightroom preset pack.

Last but not least, the video from our shoot, enjoy!

As always, a huge thank you to everyone involved.
